Abstract

Although Canada and the United States have different forms of government, population sizes, gross national products, and industrial capacity, they share the same 8,840 km border and transboundary environmental concerns.Now, the International Joint Commission, a binational organization concerned with these transboundary environmental issues, has proposed creating a unique series of international watershed boards to help anticipate and respond to a broad range of environmental irritants between the two countries.
