Abstract

Interest is growing in a new site for the launch and recovery of space vehicles, especially to serve the nations of the Pacific Basin. A commercial international spaceport has been proposed, to be built on the Cape York peninsula in northeastern Australia. How suitable is this proposal for fulfilling the needs of space operations in the years to come?
