Abstract

With interest, we read the recent paper of Hines et al. on “The three moments of skin cream application: an evidence-based proposal for use of skin creams in the prevention of irritant contact dermatitis in the workplace” [1]. While the topic certainly is of high relevance to public health and underscores the important role dermatologists may play in the prevention of skin diseases, it remains unclear how exactly the authors of this industry-sponsored review - which has been written by a commercial editorial service- derived the evidence cited. Specifically concerning primary prevention, it is hard to understand why the authors missed to refer to the Cochrane Review in this field [2]. This article is protected by copyright.
