Abstract
The legitimacy of the approach, proposed by Yu N Parkhomenko for dealing with the operation of solid-state lasers with dispersive cavities, is discussed. Additional information is provided on the neodymium glass laser, used in the present author's experiment.Comment on A Yu N Parkhomenko 1998 Quantum Electron. 28 1102.
