Abstract

This paper presents a simplified algorithm (than the original Lapp-Powers one) for constructing fault trees for digraphs for negative feedback loops, and describes a) the use of the Lapp-Powers fault tree synthesis algorithm in nuclear material safeguards assessment, and b) the advantages of using digraphs to construct fault trees.
