Abstract

A novel accuracy function for interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets is proposed by Jun Ye [Expert Systems with Applications 36 (2009) 6899–6902], and a multicriteria fuzzy decision-making method is established. However, there are several mistakes in the method to compare two interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers in the above cited reference. In this note we will present a corrected version of some results given therein and prove the proposed accuracy function be equivalent to the existing accuracy functions in the course of comparing any two interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers.
