Abstract
In this communication, some aspects of a paper published recently by Gao et al., Mater. Phys. Chem. 254 (2020) 123490 (here Ref. [4]) are discussed. In this paper, some erroneous interpretation and citation of previously published work and false considerations concerning the phase formation in Ag-Sn thin layers are outlined.
