Abstract

Regarding the article by Lovejoy and Boyle (Pediatrics, 52:382, 1973, "Linear Nevus Sebaceous Syndrome," may I draw attention to yet another patient described in 19711 who was seen in London, and also question the inclusion of Lovejoy and Boyle's second patient in this syndrome. Our patient mentioned above had the triad of diagnostic features associated with the syndrome described by Feuerstein and Mims,2 including linear sebaceous nevus (which however was not in the midline) salaam spasms, and developmental delay, though the latter was only moderate.
