Abstract

Recently Singh has derived the expression for the angular momentum of a gravito-dyon (particle carrying gravitational and Heavisidian charges). We found this result unacceptable due to its noninvariance under gauge transformations. We have modified the results of this paper into unified form for generalized electromagnetic and generalized gravitational field and constructed the gauge-invariant and rotationally invariant angular-momentum and linear-momentum operators for the generalized charges and showed that our results simultaneously lead to consistent commutation relations and quantization of the electric and gravitational charges.
