Abstract

A polemic is given regarding the volumetric properties reported in the published paper by Ashwini and coworkers. The reported excess molar volumes of the mixtures prepared by mixing dilute aqueous-bisphenol A solutions with tetrabutylammonium bromide-glycerol (1:2) deep eutectic solvent are based on an incorrect numerical value of the molar volume of the neat aqueous-bisphenol A “pseudo-monosolvent”. Also, incorrect thermodynamic expressions were used to calculate the apparent molar volumes of the two individual mixture pseudo-monosolvents.
