Abstract

Comments on the paper entitled “Comparing the effect of processing temperature on microstructure and mechanical behavior of (ZrSiO 4 or TiB 2)/aluminum composites” by H. Abdizadeh et al. [Mater. Sci. Eng. A 498 (2008) 56–58] show the importance of the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) in increasing of tensile strength and point out a mistake with regard to the differences of the CTE of TiB 2 and ZrSiO 4 with respect to each other. Also, explain and discuss the main reason for increasing of the tensile strength and hardness in this class of composite materials.
