Abstract

In this book, Cestmir Sto11 presents a new method developed by him for the integration of the differential equations of nonuniform movement of water in a channel of circular cross section and channels of prismatic (trapezoidal, rectangular, triangular) or nonprismatic cross section with constant depth.~ The proposed method is most important for the calculation of surface profiles with nonuniform stream flow in a channel of circular cross section representing a channel of varying form with h > r.~ Up to the present, when calculating nonuniform movement in this type of channel, use has been made of very tedious mathematical methods for integration of the differential equation of motion.
