Abstract

Karpovsky has presented methods of multiple-valued logic design using spectral expansion and optimization by functional decomposition. Methods have been. developed after the binary experiences. This paper shows that extending binary procedures to the multiple -valued domain without a concrete technological reference may lead to the wrong conclusions. In this context, a method of Karpovsky is reviewed, and suggestions for improvement are made.
