Abstract

This paper provides a new perspective on parental involvement in care suggesting that certain work routines facilitate involvement better than others. The results show that oncology units may have work routines that facilitate parental involvement in care to a greater extent than other units. The use of questionnaire means that the results may be affected by the social desirability response and thus may not accurately reflect participants’ perceptions of parental involvement.
