Abstract

Issues regarding wellness in healthcare (HC) workers have been increasingly reported in the HC literature. Like Covid-19, burnout (BO) has reached pandemic proportions. Covid 19 has had impact throughout the globe and continues to be a major source of stress worldwide. The authors of this manuscript have suggested Covid 19 has been associated with a reduction in BO in Ibero-American pediatric urologists (SIUO, BSPU), an unanticipated outcome given the magnitude of the viral pandemic. The major flaws in this manuscript relate to an absence of a baseline survey with which to compare to that carried out during the current Covid 19 pandemic, and employing similar BO measurement tools with which to compare not only their populations but to properly compare their finding with other study populations that have been reported.
