Commentary response to: “A micro approach to a macro problem: One agency’s approach to domestic violence” by DiBella et al. (2023)

Abstract

This commentary is a response to the article: “A Micro Approach to A Macro Problem: One Agency’s Approach to Domestic Violence” (DiBella et al., 2023). The purpose of the present commentary is to provide feedback on the program’s identified strengths, as well as provide additional considerations regarding the original article and future publications. DiBella et al. provided a clear and thoughtful overview of their highly successful program, Cherokee Family Violence Center (CFVC), and helped the reader better understand the intricacies and challenges in creating the program that can be used by current and future professionals in the field. This author hopes to highlight additional areas that the authors did not address in detail in the original manuscript in order to encourage follow up discussions and publications to strengthen the field of domestic violence support and advocacy.
