Commentary on Elbers et al. "Longitudinal outcome evaluations of IMPT programs".

Abstract

"This journal recently published a paper by Elbers et al., entitled "Longitudinal outcome evaluations of interdisciplinary multimodal pain treatment programs for patients with chronic primary musculoskeletal pain: a systematic review and meta-analysis". It not only provides an evaluation of outcomes, but also a glimpse into the nature of these programs. Elbers and colleagues raise several issues of importance for clinicians, clinical researchers, and health service providers/funders.
