Abstract

This paper is a report on a small number of cases; however, the value of the manuscript is the emphasis on the latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap. This flap has tended to be pushed aside by free tissue transfer or TRAM flaps, etc. This is unfortunate because the latissimus dorsi flap is easy to perform, very reliable, and usually of the correct size. It is reliable even after radiation. I was pleased to note that a large series is anticipated. I look forward to future studies by this group.
