Research Article| January 01 2013 Commentary I: “Therapeutic Democracy” Sylvia Fleming Crocker, Ph.D. Sylvia Fleming Crocker, Ph.D. CROCKERSF@aol.com Sylvia Fleming Crocker, Ph.D., trained with Miriam and Erving Polster, and at the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Los Angeles. In addition to a doctorate in philosophy, she has an M.A. in Comparative Religion and an M.S. in Counseling. While working in private practice in Laramie, Wyoming, she has given workshops in the USA and Mexico, in Australia, Japan, and Korea, and in a number of countries in Europe. She is author of A Well-Lived Life: Essays in Gestalt Therapy and is currently working on a book on the Gestalt therapy's use of the phenomenological method.
