Abstract

The controversy over genetics in Russia has produced many repercussions among scientists outside the Soviet Union. Two prominent foreign members of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, the British physiologist, Sir Henry Dale, and the American geneticist, H. J. Muller, have resigned from the Academy in protest against the decree of August 26. Here we present several commentaries by prominent geneticists.
