Abstract

AbstractA simple scaling argument is shown to give the correction to the interfacial tension of two infinite‐molecular‐weight immiscible homopolymers arising from the translational entropy of finite‐sized chains. It is suggested that the qualitative nature of the Flory‐Huggins model, as shown by Binder and coworkers, precludes meaningful detailed comparison of experimental data with current theoretical expressions for the interfacial tension.
