Abstract
As you would expect, I have read Philip Reno's The Ordeal of British Guiana with great interest. Many of the observations on the past record of colonialism in British Guiana are merited, but there are errors of fact and of interpretation in his references to Bookers which cannot be allowed to go uncorrected.
