Abstract

It is unnecessary to consider a potential so complex as the modified Buckingham, Carrá and Konowalow (M-BCK) model, as recently proposed by Nain and Saksena, in order to accommodate acentricity effects. A simpler, and more realistic rigid-core potential. ▪ which retains the desirable features of the M-BCK model, is proposed as an alternative.
