Abstract

Matrix methods for removing the contributions of unlinked graphs within a finite model space are investigated. The work of Brueckner suggests that existing methods remove not only the unlinked graphs but also remove the contributions of some linked graphs. It is found that the reintroduction of the effect of the linked graphs perturbatively to fifth order reduces the corrections by as much as thirty percent.
