Abstract

The determinations of rho F (resistivity contribution per Frenkel defect) by damage-rate measurements is discussed critically. An integral equation is derived from which rho F can be evaluated using the threshold energy surface concept. The inherent approximations in the numerical procedure of King et al. (1981) can be understood within the scope of this analysis.
