Abstract

Thanks for the "Letters to the Editor" section of Pediatrics. In the June 1980 issue we are treated to Dr Eugene Diamond's sound and reasonable philosophy of medical practice in his comments on the American Academy of Pediatrics' policy statement on teenage pregnancy (Pediatrics 65:1192, 1980). One has to read and search through many lines of medical literature to find such clear thinking as expressed here by Dr Diamond. The committee's policy statement is one that has to be made to accommodate the various viewpoints held by the members of the Academy–so we are told.
