Abstract

In a paper by Gherbi et al. [J. Alloys Compd. 655 (2016) 188–197], the structural, optical and transport properties of Mg-doped ZnMn2O4 powders have been investigated. The refractive index, n, of the samples has been calculated using an incorrect relation and reported values are clearly unreasonable. Consequently, the rest of the calculated optical parameters based on the erroneous values of n such as the real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant, optical and electrical conductivity, dissipation factor as well as dielectric relaxation time, are incorrect.
