Abstract

We comment on the recently discussed corrections to Coulomb displacement energies in nuclei resulting from the medium dependence of hadronic properties in nuclei. We argue that a particular contribution suggested recently and related to the density dependence of the proton and neutron effective masses should not be added to the previously calculated Coulomb displacement energies.
