Abstract

In a recent paper [J. Photochem. Photobiol. A Chem. 364 (2018) 595–601] Behzadi et al. have studied the physical properties of single-layer graphene oxide nanosheets. The reflectance spectra of the samples have been calculated using an incorrect approach and consequently, the obtained values are unreasonable. Also, the reported values of the other optical properties of the specimens such as refractive index, extinction coefficient, real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant as well as LO and TO phonon modes are incorrect because these parameters have been calculated using the false values of reflectance.
