Abstract
NMR spectra in cholesteric liquid crystals cannot be analyzed in the same way as in nematic liquid crystals, due to the random orientation of helical axes in the sample and due to the effects of diffusion along the helical axes. This comment points out that the authors of a previous article did in fact analyze their NMR spectra without taking these two considerations into account.
