Abstract
We studied the neutral-current aspects of Weinberg's supersymmetric SU(2) \ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{} U(1) \ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{} \ifmmode \tilde{U}\else \~{U}\fi{}(1) model. The scalar partner of the singlet superfield $〈{\stackrel{\ifmmode \tilde{}\else \~{}\fi{}}{Y}}_{X}X〉$ must develop a relatively large vacuum expectation value \ensuremath{\gtrsim}570 GeV.
