Abstract

Three similar equations of the rainfall erosivity factor from three separate studies published in Catena in 2021 and 2020 were compared and contrasted. All three studies appear to have cited the equations incorrectly because none of the equations can be found in the supporting references. This could have profound implications for the correctness of the results reported by the three studies and the interpretation of their findings.
