Abstract

The influence of finite temperature and chemical potential on fermion fractionization is discussed. An explicit expression for the charge of two locally different soliton profiles in a one-dimensional soliton—fermion system realized by linearly conjugated polymers is found and evaluated numerically. A rapid change in the soliton charge is observed in an experimentally accessible domain of the chemical potentials.
