Abstract

The conditions discussed by Buccella et al. in connection with the consistency between the Lee-Dashen-Gell-Mann and Cabibbo-Radicati sum rules are analyzed. It is shown that only one of the two alternative conditions proposed by them is compatible with our present understanding of $q$-number Schwinger terms.
