Abstract
A recent statistical analysis of the BATSE gamma ray burst data by Zharkov and Zharkov [Phys. Lett. A 206 (1995) 7] is shown to be flawed. Attention is drawn to a much better statistical analysis of the same data by Efron and Petrosian [Astrophys. J. 449 (1995) 216].
