Abstract

To improve the agreement with experiment a modification is made to a renormalizable SU(4)-symmetry model of the weak interaction. The quantum numbers of the new symmetry are electron and muon lepton numbers and first and second baryon numbers. A value for the intermediate boson mass is calculated assuming that the weak and electromagnetic interactions conspire to produce a finite lepton-mass renormalization.
