Miss Shute thinks it has much to offer and suggests that a fresh reading might give all of us new perspective and challenge. Miss Shute was a student of Susan E. Blow and Laura Taussig Fisher, a kindergarten training teacher at the Boston Normal School and Teachers College of Boston for forty years, and a lecturer at the Nursery Training Center of Boston for twenty years. She retired in 1937.
