Abstract

TiO2/Al/C/CsNO3, TiO2/Al/CsNO3, and TiO2/Al/CsCl powder compacts as parts of compositions used for immobilization of radionuclides were combusted in air and combustion products were characterized by XRD, SEM, and EDS with special emphasis on the formation of Cs-containing phases and AlN. Estimated was the extent of Cs losses during combustion.
