Abstract

A novel MCDM (Multiple Criteria Decision-Making) for evaluating, comparing and improving the effectiveness of network-competence indicators in various needs that is choice for environment plan at the primary regional shopping center level. The ANP (Analytic Network Process) weights are based on a DEMATEL (Decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory) technique along with a grey relational assessment model to solve the problems of interdependence and feedback to evaluate and improve the gaps in each criterion for reducing the gaps to achieve the aspired/desired level. An empirical case is used to demonstrate that the hybrid MCDM model can be used to measure and evaluate regional shopping center problems in real cases. Results can be used to provide the decision-maker to choice the regional shopping center location. The proposed model can help practitioners improve their decision process, especially when criteria are numerous and inter-related. The data from a Taiwanese regional shopping centers is used to demonstrate this model.
