AbstractA short synthesis of the alkaloid schumanniophytine (1) starting from simple building blocks and involving directed ortho metalation (DoM), Suzuki–Miyaura cross coupling, and a key ortho‐silicon‐induced O‐carbamate remote anionic Fries rearrangement (3) is described.
