Abstract

Sublethal doses of lucanthone (Miracil D) induced substantial mortality when administered to sublethally irradiated mice. Actinomycin D and lucanthone share many properties. Lucanthone's possible role as an adjuvant in clinical radiotherapy deserves consideration, especially in view of its wide use as a safe antiparasitic agent in man.
