Abstract

The composite <tex>$\kappa-\mu$</tex> shadowed fading model can describe the practical wireless transmission environment experi-encing both fading and shadowing more perfectly. In this paper, the authors investigate the secrecy performance over <tex>$\kappa-\mu$</tex> shad-owed fading channels, where the transmitted <tex>$\kappa-\mu$</tex> faded signal undergoes both antenna correlation and co-channel interference process in the presence of multiple interferers. In particular, the two significant performance metrics e.g., secrecy outage probability and probability of strictly positive secrecy capacity are derived in closed-form. Furthermore, the effects of fading severity, antenna correlation, and multiple interferers on secrecy performance are analyzed. It is observed that besides correlation, interference also drastically affects the secrecy performance. Finally, Monte-Carlo simulations are conducted to verify the analytical expressions.
