Abstract
Summary A 22-month-old intact female West Highland White Terrier was diagnosed with idiopathic chylothorax and chylopericardium. Treatment by pericardiectomy without thoracic duct ligation was performed under thoracoscopy. After 2 weeks of postoperative care including intermittent pleural drainage, the dog recovered completely. Five years later, the dog was still healthy.
