Abstract

In this paper, we consider the combined effect of group velocity and group-velocity dispersion mismatches on the performance of a two-channel wavelength-division multiplexing soliton system. We show that these two effects, usually disregarded in the literature, should be accounted for in the analysis of multichannel soliton communication systems operating near the zero-dispersion wavelength. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
