Abstract
Onshore diving operations are often carried out in remote areas with poor or nil medical assistance available at site. Diving crew also tends to be poorly trained and inexperienced. As a result, initially, diving accident cases get treated symptomatically, till proper diagnosis is established and therapeutic recompression carried out after a considerable delay. Pulmonary barotrauma, lung burst, leading to Arterial Gas Embolism ( AGE) and its dreadful effects is a known complication of diving especially amongst novice divers.
