Abstract

Objective To explore the efficacy of combined anterior and posterior approach with small incision for complex tibial plateau and posterior condylar fractures. Methods 48 patients with complex tibial plateau and posterior condylar fractures were randomly divided into two groups. The control group received traditional anterior approach, whild the study group received combined anterior and posterior approach with small incision. The efficacy was compared between the two groups. Results The scores for knee joint function were higher in the study group than in the control group, with a statistically significant difference ( P< 0.05 ).The incidence rate of complications was lower in the study group than in the control group after surgery ( P < 0.05 ).Conclusions Combined anterior and posterior approach with small incision is efficacious in the treatment of complex tibial plateau and posterior condylar fractures.
