Abstract

We have synthesized some phosphors in the system <TEX>$CaO-Y_2$</TEX><TEX>$O_3$</TEX>-<TEX>$Al_2$</TEX><TEX>$O_3$</TEX>by combinatorial polymerized-complex method. Composition and synthetic temperature of phosphors in the library was screened from the emission intensities of individual samples under VUV excitation. In <TEX>$Tb^{ 3+}$</TEX>-activated <TEX>$CaO-Y_2$</TEX><TEX>$O_3$</TEX>-<TEX>$Al_2$</TEX><TEX>$O_3$</TEX>, green phosphors showing good intensity were found to be X<TEX>$O_3$</TEX><TEX>$O_{7}$</TEX>, CaYA1O<TEX>$_4$</TEX>, YA1O<TEX>$_3$</TEX>, <TEX>$Y_3$</TEX><TEX>$Al_{5}$</TEX><TEX>$O_{12}$</TEX>, <TEX>$Y_4$</TEX><TEX>$A1_2$</TEX><TEX>$O_{9}$</TEX> .
