Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of nimodipine combined with brain protein hy- drolyzale for ischemic stroke. Methods 96 patients with ischemic stroke were randomly divided into nimodipine group (n = 46) and combination group (n = 46). Besides conventional therapy, nimodipine group received nimodipine alone, and combination group received nimodipine plus brain protein hydrolyzate. The recovery of neurological function and activities of daily living and the clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. pasults As compared with nimodipine group, combination group significantly improved recovery of neuro- logical function (P< 0.05) and ADL (P< 0.05), and increased the clinical outcomes (P< 0.05). Conclu- sions Nimodipine combined with brain protein hydrolyzate can significantly improve the quality of life and clinical efficacy in patients with ischemic stroke. Key words: Nimodipine; Brain protein hydrolyzate; Ischemic stroke
