Abstract
For simultaneous measurement of instantaneous fields of temperature and velocity in the near-wall areas of the impinging jet combination of PLIF and PIV methods is implemented. The algorithms to reduce the measurement error of PLIF method are proposed. Unsteady heat transfer in axisymmetric jet impinging normally onto the plane heated surface is experimentally investigated. The turbulent heat fluxes in the stagnation point region and self-similar region of the flow have been figured out. The intensity of turbulent heat transfer has been obtained. Up to 25% of heat transfer intensity is provided by a mechanism of turbulence.
