Abstract
This research we synthesized size-matched PMoW-UiO-67(Zr) nanocomposite heterogeneous catalyst by one-step hydrothermal method. The PMoW-UiO-67(Zr) catalyst combined the advantages of both Keggin-type heteropolyacid (H3PMo6W6O40·nH2O abbreviated as PMoW) and metal organic framework (UiO-67(Zr)) with excellent catalytic activity. The two types of cages contained in UiO-67(Zr) allow for the uniform dispersion of PMoW inside and also prevent leaching of the active sites. Meanwhile, the composite was characterized by PXRD, FT-IR, nitrogen adsorption–desorption isotherms, SEM, TEM, ICP, TG analysis and the presence of PMoW in the cage of UiO-67(Zr) was verified. PMoW-UiO-67(Zr) showed excellent performance in extraction catalytic oxidative desulfurization, achieving 100% removal in 30 min under optimal reaction conditions (60 °C, O/S = 6, mcat = 0.015 g). The catalyst can be recycled for 5 cycles with no significant activity loss, and the possible reaction mechanism was explored.
